Insulated Polyurethane Spray Foam for storage tanks, pressure vessels, double walled tanks, and welded tanks.
Spray-on insulation is made of polyurethane foam – the same kind of insulation appliance manufacturers have used in refrigerators and water heaters for years.
The liquid polyurethane is pumped through pressurized spray nozzles – as it lands on the surface of your attic or side walls, it expands to form a continuous insulating barrier.
Builders
The way we look at insulation is changing, not only from a building and industry perspective, but also as conscientious consumers are becoming better educated and demanding higher performing products.
In the competitive building industry, consumers are looking for contractors that will deliver superior quality products.
The revolutionary new soy based polyurethane spray-in-place foam, Advanced Climate Seal carries polyurethane insulation that is water blown and contains no CFC, HCFC's or formaldehyde.
More and more builders and building scientists know that the greatest enemy of a healthy, energy efficient, comfortable and durable building is air infiltration (the movement of air through floor, ceiling, and wall cavities). Not only does it cause the loss of efficiencies in heating and cooling, but can also create hidden moisture and condensation carried by the penetrating air. The result of these hidden problems is a less efficient and more problematic structure, which can lead to building failure and health related issues. When you use Polyurethane insulation, you will have built a home that is more energy efficient, healthier, and comfortable for your new homeowner.
Architects
As an architect, you are constantly searching for products that increase design flexibility and minimize building liabilities. Advanced Climate Seal offers, semi-open celled, windproof, breathable, flexible, microcellular, spray applied foam that delivers unique, superior, building performance design capabilities.
Advanced Climate Seal is committed to product evaluation, testing, and engineering necessary to satisfy the most discriminating architect or code official. Our partners are currently working with industry consultants and ICC engineering staff to develop extensive, accredited testing in all arenas of regional building system spray foam insulation, design, and application. The varying climate regions in the United States and abroad require system design approaches that address extreme climate challenges. Non-vented roof system design, thermal performance comparisons, vapor barrier elimination and fire issues are successful building design paths unique to the new generation of microcellular, semi-open celled, air barrier insulation systems.
Homeowners
Advanced Climate Seal offers Insulation that contains no harmful and irritating microfibers or organic dust particulates from which traditional insulation is sourced. The continuous air barrier that polyurethane insulation creates around your home or structure allows you to block harmful outside irritants such as mold, pollen, and other allergens from entering your indoor environment. When sprayed into the floors, walls and ceilings, it quickly expands to 100 times its size to fill in every crack, crevice, and void. The seamless air barrier creates combined with its non-particle based properties that make it an ideal choice for creating a healthy indoor environment.
When Polyurethane insulation is installed into your home or structure, it is similar to turning it into an Igloo® cooler, keeping conditioned air inside and unconditioned air outside. In fact, it insulates your home so well you will actually require a smaller HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) unit in your home or structure. Therefore it will cost you less money every month to heat or cool your home. Polyurethane insulation, when paired with other responsible building components, can help residential and commercial building owners save up to 50% on their monthly utility bills.
Insulation That Lasts
Polyurethane insulation is a thermo set plastic foam that is by its nature inert. Polyurethane insulation will not support mold growth and is not a food source for rodents, insects or other vermin. Polyurethane insulation is custom applied into place disallowing it to sag or settle over time like conventional insulation.
Polyurethane insulation limits moist air from passing between wall, floor, and ceiling spaces reducing the opportunity for structural degradation of the insulation or other building components. This means that Polyurethane insulation will provide a healthy, comfortable, and energy efficient environment for the life of the structure, not just when it is first installed.
The Benefits
Unlike traditional insulating materials like fiberglass or cellulose, spray foam insulation can seal and fill all the tiny cracks and seams you might not even see. The seamless material virtually eliminates energy-wasting air filtration.
In addition, polyurethane has the highest R-value for any given thickness compared to other insulation products. Because it provides a higher R-value per inch, homeowners using foam insulation can use 2x4 construction on exterior walls instead of the 2x6 studs required with traditional insulation.
This can save on framing costs, as well as extended window and door jambs. This simple change can also increase the amount of living space by as much as 35 square feet in a 1,500-square-foot home – the equivalent of an extra closet!
Foam insulation also helps control moisture condensation, it won’t shrink or settle, and it’s fire- and insect-resistant.
The Cost
The initial cost of using spray foam insulation runs about two to three times more than traditional materials. But keep in mind that the increase in R-value and air sealing will lower your utility bills by 30 percent - paying back the cost difference in energy savings in less than five years.
